A Father's Day to Remember

Today was Adam's day! So he chose what he wanted to do. He said that he would like for all of us to go to the movies together and see Toy Story 3. I told him that I was a little worried about taking Leah, our three month old, to the movies. He said that she would be fine. We went to the early service at church, and then headed home for pb&j sandwhiches. We quickly got the kids ready, and headed to the movie theatre. The kids were very excited! We sat on the very back row so that we could make a quick get away if needed, so as not to disturb the rest of the crowd.
Adam bought a big bag of popcorn and a large cup of HiC for all of us to share. There again, his choice not mine. He gave Myah a small tray, and filled it up with popcorn for her and I to eat out of. Myah didn't want to share her popcorn with me, and made a little squeal every time I reached for some. Noah's eyes were fixed on the big screen, and Myah made comments and asked questions, a typical female. Thankfully, the one that I was worried about, Leah was asleep in my arms. The first 30 or 45 minutes were great, until we ran out of popcorn and HiC. Myah kept climbing out of her seat. Noah and Myah both wanted more popcorn and something to drink. I ran out with Leah in my arms, and filled the cup up at the water fountain. Then I brought out the lollipops that Adam had put in Leah's diaper bag. I think Adam spent more time trying to keep Myah in her seat, passing out popcorn, and trying to keep them quiet, then watching the movie. We left right before the ending. Adam took off first, with Myah crying in his arms, as I searched for Myah's pacifier that she had dropped under her seat. Thankfully, I got a glimpse of what happened just before I walked out. I laughed all the way to the car as Adam shook his head in frustration. As I regained my composure, I looked at Adam and said " Well, I guess we won't be going to the movies for a while."
We finished the day at Outback for dinner, and that is a whole different story! I don't really want to talk about the piece of bread Noah was eating that he had found under the table!!! It was Father's Day and a CRAZY one at that!
